How is the deformable kitchen sponge modeled?

The sponge is a block of soft foam modeled as a tetrahedral volume, so it compresses under a grip and bulges at the sides. Its stiffness comes from a press test on a real sponge.

The scrub pad variant bonds a thinner, much stiffer layer to one face. Squeezing the sponge then bends the pad rather than compressing it, as on a real sponge.

What ships in the USD?

How does the sponge respond to grip force?
