Deformable dough

Deformable dough for pizza and bread, modeled with MPM so it stretches, flows and keeps its new shape, for food prep robots.

Also called pizza dough or bread dough.

MPM particles

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable dough modeled?

Dough is plastic: it stretches, flows and stays where it is pushed. We model it with the material point method, a particle method that handles large shape changes, with a yield and viscosity set for real dough.

Pizza dough is offered as a ball and as a stretched base.

Which parts of the deformable dough deform?

Dough
Plastic material that stretches and keeps its shape

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • MPM particles. Particles solved with the material point method, for granular fills and materials that flow and keep a new shape.

Where is it used?

  • Stretching pizza bases
  • Kneading
  • Food prep

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable dough open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.

Not in the catalog? We build any object to order, with the same physics and delivery.
