Deformable bagged produce

Deformable bagged produce such as potatoes or onions in a mesh net, modeled as a mesh shell around rigid items, for the produce section.

Also called net bag, mesh bag or potato sack.

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable bagged produce modeled?

A net bag of potatoes is a loose mesh around hard, uneven items. We model the net as a stretchy open shell and the produce as rigid bodies with natural variation in shape, so the bag bulges and shifts in the hand.

Weights run from 1 to 5 kg.

Which parts of the deformable bagged produce deform?

Mesh net
Stretchy open shell that bulges around the contents
Rigid parts
Potatoes or onions

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Thin shell. A thin surface with in-plane and bending stiffness, sealed or open, with contents modeled inside. Used for film, bags, cans and paper.
  • Rigid body. A body with mass, center of mass, inertia and a collision mesh, plus friction and restitution.

Where is it used?

  • Produce stocking
  • Picking heavy bags

Industries: Retail, Agriculture, Food

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable bagged produce open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
