Deformable poly mailer

A deformable, sealed poly mailer with contents, modeled as a film shell for parcel sorting and singulation.

Also called mailer bag, shipping bag, courier bag or poly envelope.

Thin shell

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable poly mailer modeled?

A poly mailer is a sealed envelope of thick film. We model it as a shell with the stiffness of mailer film, sealed on all sides, with soft contents that fill it unevenly the way a real parcel does.

Matte and glossy finishes are separate looks, since glossy film is a common cause of failed detections.

Which parts of the deformable poly mailer deform?

Mailer film
Sealed shell that bends and creases
Contents
Soft fill that shifts inside

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Thin shell. A thin surface with in-plane and bending stiffness, sealed or open, with contents modeled inside. Used for film, bags, cans and paper.

Where is it used?

  • Parcel sorting
  • Singulation on a conveyor
  • Unloading trailers

Industries: Logistics, Retail

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable poly mailer open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
