Deformable PET bottle
Picking bottles
Thin-walled containers
A deformable aluminum can that dents and crushes under grip force, modeled as a thin shell for grasping and shelf stocking robots.
Also called soda can, drink can, beverage can, aluminum can or tin can.
Thin shell
Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim
A drink can is an aluminum wall about as thin as a sheet of paper, with a much stiffer top and base. We model the wall as a thin shell that buckles and dents past its limit and stays dented, and the ends as stiff rims, so a can crushes at the middle the way a real one does.
Full cans carry the mass of their contents, and empty ones are light enough to tip at a touch. Labels are generic.
One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.
Industries: Retail, Logistics, Food, Household
Questions
Yes. Past its limit the wall yields and keeps the dent, the way aluminum does, so an over-tight grasp leaves a visible mark.
It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.
Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.
Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
