Thin-walled containers

Deformable PET bottle

A deformable PET plastic bottle that squeezes and springs back, modeled as a thin shell with liquid mass for retail and recycling robots.

Also called water bottle, plastic bottle or soda bottle.

Thin shell

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable PET bottle modeled?

A plastic bottle wall is thin and springy. We model it as a thin shell with the stiffness of PET, so it squeezes under a grip and recovers, and crumples only when crushed hard. The neck and cap are stiff.

Fill level sets the liquid mass, which moves the center of mass and changes how the bottle tips.

Which parts of the deformable PET bottle deform?

Wall
Thin plastic shell that squeezes and springs back
Neck and cap
Stiff parts that keep their shape

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Thin shell. A thin surface with in-plane and bending stiffness, sealed or open, with contents modeled inside. Used for film, bags, cans and paper.

Where is it used?

  • Picking bottles
  • Shelf facing
  • Recycling sorting

Industries: Retail, Logistics, Food, Household

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable pet bottle open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.

Not in the catalog? We build any object to order, with the same physics and delivery.
