Deformable pneumatic tubing

Deformable polyurethane pneumatic tubing in standard outer diameters, modeled as an elastic rod for factory automation setup and push-to-connect fittings.

Also called PU tubing, air hose, pneumatic hose or polyurethane tube.

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable pneumatic tubing modeled?

Polyurethane tubing is springy: it resists tight bends and tends to straighten. We model it as an elastic rod with bending stiffness set per outer diameter, so 4 mm tube loops easily and 12 mm tube fights back.

Tube ends are cut square so they insert into push-to-connect fittings, which we provide as rigid parts with the matching bore.

Which parts of the deformable pneumatic tubing deform?

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Elastic rod. A centerline curve with a radius, and stiffness in bending, twisting and stretching. Used for cables, wires, hoses and ropes.

Where is it used?

  • Connecting air lines on a machine
  • Pushing tube into fittings
  • Cell setup and changeover

Industries: Manufacturing, Automotive

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable pneumatic tubing open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.

Not in the catalog? We build any object to order, with the same physics and delivery.
