Deformable MPO fiber trunk cable
Replacing optics in a switch
Cables, wires and hoses
A deformable MPO to LC breakout cable whose trunk fans out into four to twelve thin legs, modeled as a branched elastic rod network for data center optics robots.
Also called fiber breakout cable, fan-out cable, MPO harness or MPO to LC harness.
Elastic rodArticulated
Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim
A breakout cable starts as one MPO trunk and splits at a molded fan-out into thin legs, each ending in an LC connector. We model it as a branched rod network: a stiffer trunk, a rigid fan-out body, and legs that bend, tangle and swing on their own with their own bend radius limit.
The MPO connector, the fan-out and every LC duplex connector are hand-modeled rigid bodies with their latch geometry, so a robot can grip one leg out of the group and seat it in its port.
One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

Questions
Yes. Each leg is its own rod joined at the fan-out, so legs swing, cross and tangle the way real ones do, and a gripper can separate one from the group.
It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.
Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.
Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
