Deformable pet food bag

A deformable pet food bag from 2 to 15 kg, modeled as a heavy shell around granular kibble, for shelf stocking and warehouse handling.

Also called dog food bag, cat food bag or kibble bag.

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable pet food bag modeled?

A big bag of kibble is heavy and floppy. We model it as a stiff film or paper shell with a gusseted base and granular fill, so it slumps sideways when lifted from the top and settles flat when laid down.

Weight sets the fill mass, which decides whether one hand or two are needed.

Which parts of the deformable pet food bag deform?

Bag
Stiff shell with a gusseted base
Kibble
Heavy granular fill that slumps

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Thin shell. A thin surface with in-plane and bending stiffness, sealed or open, with contents modeled inside. Used for film, bags, cans and paper.
  • MPM particles. Particles solved with the material point method, for granular fills and materials that flow and keep a new shape.

Where is it used?

  • Shelf stocking
  • Heavy bag handling
  • Depalletizing

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable pet food bag open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
