Deformable snack bag

A deformable, air-filled snack bag with crimped seals, modeled as a pressurized shell for retail shelf stocking.

Also called chip bag, crisp packet or chips bag.

Thin shell

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable snack bag modeled?

A chip bag is a sealed pillow of air. We model it as a shell with an internal pressure, so it springs back when squeezed lightly and crumples when squeezed hard. The crimped top and bottom seals are stiff bands.

The film has a metallic inner layer, which ships as a reflective look. Product art is generic.

Which parts of the deformable snack bag deform?

Film pillow
Pressurized shell that springs back from light squeezes
Crimped seals
Stiff bands at top and bottom

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Thin shell. A thin surface with in-plane and bending stiffness, sealed or open, with contents modeled inside. Used for film, bags, cans and paper.

Where is it used?

  • Shelf stocking and facing
  • Picking without crushing
  • Retail picking

Industries: Retail, Logistics, Food

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable snack bag open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
