Deformable pillowcase

A deformable pillowcase, modeled as a cloth tube with one open end, for bed making and pillow insertion tasks.

Also called pillow case or pillow slip.

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable pillowcase modeled?

A pillowcase is a closed tube with one open end. We model both layers as one cloth surface joined along the seams, so the opening can be held apart and a pillow pushed in.

The opening has a wide hem that is stiffer than the body, which helps a gripper find and spread it.

Which parts of the deformable pillowcase deform?

Case
Two-layer cloth tube that opens and stretches over a pillow
Opening hem
Stiffer band around the open end

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Cloth. A triangle surface with stretch, shear and bending stiffness and a thickness. Used for towels, sheets and garments.

Where is it used?

  • Putting a pillow in its case
  • Bed making
  • Laundry folding

Industries: Hospitality, Household

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable pillowcase open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
