Deformable hand towel
Folding small linens
Textiles and garments
A deformable terry bath towel with hemmed edges, modeled as thick cloth for laundry folding and hospitality robots.
Also called towel, bath sheet or terry towel.
Cloth
Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim
Terry is thick and heavy, so a bath towel folds in soft rolls rather than sharp creases. We model it as a single cloth surface with a thickness and bending stiffness measured from real terry, and mass per area set for a towel that is dry.
The hemmed borders along each edge are a stiffer band of the same surface. That band is what a robot feels for when it looks for a corner, so it is modeled rather than painted on.
One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.
Industries: Household, Hospitality
Questions
Yes. The towel and the T-shirt are the standard folding objects, and we offer them in several sizes, materials and colors so a task can see variety.
It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.
Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.
Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
