Push-bar fire door

An articulated fire door with a push bar and closer, single or double, for robots in commercial buildings and hospitals.

Also called panic bar door, crash bar door or fire exit door.

Articulated

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the push-bar fire door modeled?

The push bar slides on a prismatic joint and frees the latch when pressed. A strong closer on the hinge pulls the door shut, so a robot has to hold it while passing through.

Which parts of the push-bar fire door move?

Door leaf
Revolute with strong closer
Push bar
Prismatic, frees the latch

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Articulated. Rigid links joined by revolute, prismatic or helical joints, with limits, damping and springs where the real object has them.

Where is it used?

  • Passing through fire doors
  • Hospital delivery
  • Building navigation

Industries: Healthcare, Hospitality, Logistics

Questions

Which simulators does the push-bar fire door open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.

Not in the catalog? We build any object to order, with the same physics and delivery.
