Deformable liquid cooling hose

A deformable liquid cooling hose with quick disconnect couplings, modeled as a thick rod that resists kinking, for robots that work in liquid cooled AI server racks.

Also called coolant hose, cooling line, quick disconnect hose or QD hose.

How is the deformable liquid cooling hose modeled?

AI racks are cooled by liquid, so every tray has hoses running to a manifold, and they sit in the way of every task. We model the hose as a thick elastic rod sized to a real EPDM or rubber hose, with the stiffness and weight of a hose full of coolant and a limit on how tightly it may bend before it kinks.

The quick disconnect couplings are hand-modeled rigid bodies with the sleeve that slides back to release and the latch that locks on connection, so a robot can disconnect a tray and connect it again.

Which parts of the deformable liquid cooling hose deform?

Hose
Thick rod that bends in wide curves and resists kinking
Coupling sleeve
Slides back on a spring to release the coupling
Rigid parts
Quick disconnect couplings, Hose barbs and clamps

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Elastic rod. A centerline curve with a radius, and stiffness in bending, twisting and stretching. Used for cables, wires, hoses and ropes.
  • Articulated. Rigid links joined by revolute, prismatic or helical joints, with limits, damping and springs where the real object has them.

Where is it used?

  • Disconnecting a tray from the cooling manifold
  • Moving hoses aside to reach a part
  • Reconnecting couplings after a swap

Industries: Data centers

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable liquid cooling hose open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.

Not in the catalog? We build any object to order, with the same physics and delivery.
