Deformable fiber optic patch cord
Patching fiber in a rack
Cables, wires and hoses
A deformable RJ45 Ethernet patch cable with a latching connector at each end, modeled as an elastic rod for data center cabling and rack robots.
Also called RJ45 cable, patch cord, network cable, LAN cable or Cat6 cable.
Elastic rodArticulated
Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

The cable is an elastic rod sized to a Cat5e or Cat6 jacket, with bending and twist stiffness set so it holds the gentle curves you see in a rack rather than collapsing like a rope.
Each RJ45 plug is a rigid body with a separate latch tab on a hinge with a spring, so the latch presses down on insertion and clicks back up. The boot behind the plug is a short, stiffer rod section.
One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.
Industries: Data centers, Electronics
Questions
Yes. The latch is its own part on a spring hinge, so a gripper can press it to release the plug, and it springs back when let go.
It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.
Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.
Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
