Deformable automotive wire harness
Routing a harness along a door or dash panel
Cables, wires and hoses
A deformable single insulated wire that bends and keeps its new shape, modeled as a plastic rod for panel wiring and crimping tasks.
Also called hookup wire, insulated copper wire or electrical wire.
Elastic rod
Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

Unlike a cable, a solid copper wire keeps the shape you bend it into. We model it as a rod with a plastic bending limit: small bends spring back, larger ones set a new rest shape.
Gauge sets the radius, mass and stiffness. Stranded wire has a lower yield and springs back less, and the stripped end is a short bare section with its own radius.
One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.
Industries: Manufacturing, Electronics, Automotive
Questions
It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.
Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.
Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
