Deformable trash bag

A deformable trash bag, empty or filled, modeled as a large thin shell for cleaning and waste robots.

Also called garbage bag, bin bag, bin liner or rubbish bag.

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable trash bag modeled?

A trash bag is a large, thin bag that bulges around its contents. We model it as a thin shell, and filled versions carry a mix of rigid and soft contents so the bag sags and deforms when lifted by the neck.

The tie handles or drawstring are part of the shell, so a gripper can find and pinch them.

Which parts of the deformable trash bag deform?

Flaps or drawstring to grip

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Thin shell. A thin surface with in-plane and bending stiffness, sealed or open, with contents modeled inside. Used for film, bags, cans and paper.

Where is it used?

  • Taking out trash
  • Waste sorting
  • Cleaning robots

Industries: Household, Hospitality

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable trash bag open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
