Also called table cloth, table linen or serviette.

How is the deformable tablecloth and napkin modeled?

A tablecloth drapes over a table edge and falls in folds at the corners. We model it as one cloth surface sized to the table, heavy enough to hang straight and with a hem around the border.

Napkins are smaller squares of the same cloth with a crisper hem, so they fold into neat rectangles and triangles.

Which parts of the deformable tablecloth and napkin deform?

Tablecloth
Large woven cloth that drapes over the edge
Napkin
Small square that folds crisply

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Cloth. A triangle surface with stretch, shear and bending stiffness and a thickness. Used for towels, sheets and garments.

Where is it used?

  • Setting a table
  • Folding napkins
  • Clearing and laying linens

Industries: Hospitality, Household

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable tablecloth and napkin open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
