Deformable jeans

Deformable jeans and trousers with pockets, waistband and rivets, modeled as multi-layer cloth with rigid parts for laundry and retail returns.

Also called trousers, pants or denim jeans.

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable jeans modeled?

Jeans are heavy and layered: two legs, a waistband, front and back pockets, a fly and belt loops. We model each panel as cloth joined at its seams, with denim stiffness and weight, so the legs fold over at the knee the way real jeans do.

The button, rivets and zipper pull are small rigid bodies attached to the cloth. They add weight in the right places and give the camera something hard and shiny to see.

Which parts of the deformable jeans deform?

Legs and seat
Heavy denim cloth, stiff in bending
Waistband
Doubled band, stiffer than the legs
Pockets
Separate cloth layers joined at the seams
Rigid parts
Button, Rivets, Zipper pull

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Cloth. A triangle surface with stretch, shear and bending stiffness and a thickness. Used for towels, sheets and garments.

Where is it used?

  • Folding trousers
  • Retail returns processing
  • Laundry sorting

Industries: Retail, Household, Logistics

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable jeans open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
