Deformable kitchen towel

A deformable kitchen or dish towel in thin cotton or linen, modeled as light cloth for home robots and cleaning tasks.

Also called dish towel, tea towel or dishcloth.

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable kitchen towel modeled?

A dish towel is thin and light, so it creases sharply and slides off a counter edge. We model it as a thin cloth surface with low bending stiffness and the higher friction of a flat weave.

The hanging loop is a short strip of the same cloth, stitched at one corner so it can hang from a hook.

Which parts of the deformable kitchen towel deform?

Body
Thin cloth that creases sharply and drapes
Hanging loop
Small strip for hanging on a hook

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Cloth. A triangle surface with stretch, shear and bending stiffness and a thickness. Used for towels, sheets and garments.

Where is it used?

  • Drying dishes
  • Hanging a towel on a hook
  • Folding kitchen linens

Industries: Household, Hospitality

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable kitchen towel open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
