Deformable Ethernet patch cable
Patching and unpatching in a server rack
Cables, wires and hoses
A deformable fiber optic patch cord with LC or SC connectors and a minimum bend radius, modeled as an elastic rod for data center and telecom robots.
Also called fiber patch cable, optical fiber cable or fibre patch lead.
Elastic rod
Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

A fiber cord is light and flexible but must not bend tighter than its minimum bend radius. We model it as a thin elastic rod and flag the minimum bend radius in the asset, so a task can check every bend against it.
The duplex LC or simplex SC connectors are hand-modeled rigid bodies with their latch geometry, attached to the rod ends with short boots.
One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

Questions
It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.
Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.
Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.
