Deformable egg carton

A deformable egg carton with a hinged lid, modeled as a semi-rigid shell for food packing.

Also called egg box or egg tray.

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable egg carton modeled?

Molded pulp or plastic cartons are semi-rigid, with a lid on a hinge and a latch tab. We model the base and lid as semi-rigid shells joined by a hinge, and the eggs as rigid bodies in their cups.

Six and twelve egg cartons are offered.

Which parts of the deformable egg carton deform?

Carton
Semi-rigid shell that flexes
Lid
Swings on its hinge and latches
Rigid parts
Eggs

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Thin shell. A thin surface with in-plane and bending stiffness, sealed or open, with contents modeled inside. Used for film, bags, cans and paper.
  • Articulated. Rigid links joined by revolute, prismatic or helical joints, with limits, damping and springs where the real object has them.

Where is it used?

  • Food packing
  • Fridge stocking
  • Opening a lid

Industries: Food, Retail

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable egg carton open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.

Not in the catalog? We build any object to order, with the same physics and delivery.
