Paper and cardboard

Deformable sheet of paper

A deformable sheet of A4 or letter paper, modeled as a very thin shell for office and document handling robots.

Also called A4 paper, letter paper or printer paper.

Thin shell

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable sheet of paper modeled?

A sheet of paper is light, thin and slippery, and it curls when lifted from one edge. We model it as a thin shell with the bending stiffness of office paper and low friction against itself, so a stack slides apart.

Stacks of several sheets are offered for separation tasks.

Which parts of the deformable sheet of paper deform?

Sheet
Very thin shell that curls and slides

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Thin shell. A thin surface with in-plane and bending stiffness, sealed or open, with contents modeled inside. Used for film, bags, cans and paper.

Where is it used?

  • Picking a single sheet
  • Document handling
  • Feeding a printer

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable sheet of paper open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.

Not in the catalog? We build any object to order, with the same physics and delivery.
