Paper and cardboard

Deformable cereal box

A deformable cereal or food carton, modeled as a semi-rigid shell that dents when squeezed, for retail shelf stocking.

Also called cereal box, food carton or dry goods box.

Thin shell

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable cereal box modeled?

A cereal box is thin board that holds its shape until it is squeezed. We model it as a semi-rigid shell, so it stays square when lifted by its faces and dents when gripped hard at the middle.

The bag of cereal inside is soft fill, which sets the weight and the way the box tips. Product art is generic.

Which parts of the deformable cereal box deform?

Carton
Semi-rigid shell that dents under a hard grip
Inner bag
Soft fill

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Thin shell. A thin surface with in-plane and bending stiffness, sealed or open, with contents modeled inside. Used for film, bags, cans and paper.

Where is it used?

  • Shelf stocking and facing
  • Picking without crushing

Industries: Retail, Logistics, Food

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable cereal box open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.

Not in the catalog? We build any object to order, with the same physics and delivery.
