Paper and cardboard

Deformable paper towel

A deformable paper towel or tissue, single sheet or roll, modeled as very weak cloth for cleaning and wiping robots.

Also called kitchen roll, tissue or napkin.

Cloth

Delivered as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim

How is the deformable paper towel modeled?

A paper towel behaves like a weak, light cloth that tears easily. We model it as cloth with low stretch and bending stiffness and set a tear limit on the perforations of the roll.

The roll is a rigid core with the sheets wound around it.

Which parts of the deformable paper towel deform?

Sheet
Weak, light cloth that crumples
Rigid parts
Roll core

What ships in the USD?

One USD file per variant, with the render mesh, the simulation geometry and a physics material bound to it. Every value is set and named, so you can open it in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and run your task, or read the numbers into your own solver from the material JSON.

  • Cloth. A triangle surface with stretch, shear and bending stiffness and a thickness. Used for towels, sheets and garments.

Where is it used?

  • Wiping spills
  • Tearing a sheet from a roll
  • Cleaning

Industries: Household, Hospitality

Questions

Which simulators does the deformable paper towel open in?

It ships as USD for NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton. We also deliver MJCF for MuJoCo and Genesis, a GLB mesh, and a JSON file with every material value.

Can it be matched to our real object?

Yes. Send us a sample, a drawing or a few photos and we set size, stiffness and friction to match your part.

How do we get it?

Choose your simulator, format and variant, then tell us where to send it. We prepare the files and email them to you.

Not in the catalog? We build any object to order, with the same physics and delivery.
